High Country Camp 2024: Three Days of Titanium and Good Company

Reflections on our annual gathering of Simpatico riders in the Victorian Alps.

Last month, we gathered with Simpatico owners from across Australia for three days of riding in the Victorian Alps. Here’s what happened.

The High Country Camp has become an annual tradition—a chance for our community to connect, share stories, and explore some of the finest cycling terrain in the country.

Day One: The Great Alpine Road

We started with a classic: the climb from Harrietville to Mount Hotham. Twenty-three riders set off under clear skies, titanium glinting in the morning sun. The pace was social but steady, with plenty of stops to regroup and take in the views.

“There’s something special about climbing with other Simpatico riders,” said longtime customer Michael Chen. “We all understand why we ride these bikes, and there’s an unspoken bond in that.”

Day Two: Gravel Adventures

Day two took us off the beaten path onto the gravel roads that crisscross the high country. This was a chance for the Gamma X owners to show what their bikes could do, though several Gamma Race riders on 32mm tyres proved equally capable.

Day Three: Recovery and Reflection

The final day was deliberately easy—a gentle loop through the valley with extended coffee stops. It’s these moments, as much as the big climbs, that make the camp special.

“I came for the riding but stayed for the people. This community is what makes Simpatico more than just a bike brand.”

Planning is already underway for High Country Camp 2025. If you’re a Simpatico owner and would like to join us, keep an eye on your inbox for details.
